Kayaking Near Sofia: the Beauty of Lake Pancharevo

If you live and work in Sofia or you are just a visitor of the capital of Bulgaria and you have some free time that you would like to use for some outdoor activities, join us and enjoy some kayaking at Lake Pancharevo. 

The Lake is one of the treasures of Sofia. Situated in just 30 minutes drive from the center of the city, it attracts citizens and guests of the capital with the beautiful landscape that surrounds it and the variety of activities that can be practiced. Located between the Vitosha and Lozenska mountains, it is an artifical lake - 3 km long and up to 700 m wide, reaching a depth of 30 m. The Pancharevo mineral springs lie on the lake's western shore. Sports centres and catering establishments have been constructed around the lake and the National Rowing Base is located there too. Built in 1968, the rowing base is the first modern facility in Bulgaria, specializing in conducting training and competitions in rowing events. In 1977 it hosted the World Cup canoe in the capital, and in 1981, the World Championships for young people in water sports. Over the years, it has been host to several world championships, national and international rowing regattas, and the European Triathlon Championships.

Kayking at Lake Pancharevo is very popular and easy to organize. You can enjoy a whole day or just a couple of hours there depending on your schedule. So, roll your sleeves up and let's get rowing!

Program:

• We meet in front of Alexander Nevski Cathedral at suitable for the participants time. 
• One hour and a half kayaking at Pancharevo Lake.
• We return back in Sofia.

*Depending on the participants, the duration of the kayaking activity could be extended.

Kayaking is not only passion but a way of living for her and she will make sure that you always get the best of your experience. In 2018 she graduated her Master Degree in Tourism Management and is currently specializing in the area of Adventure Tourism, being a co-founder and an active team member of Go-Go- Adventures.
